ABOUT CAREY

Hi! My name is Carey, and I've been a Fitness Professional since 1997, starting my career studying Exercise Science at Florida State University and became a Fitness Instructor at the Leach Center, our student and facility exercise/recreational center. I wanted to progress to do actual Personal Training, so I left there and moved to Gold's Gym Tallahassee and under the teaching of Doug Blake he laid the foundation of my fitness career. After 2 years I moved to Premier Health and Fitness, a 5 star elite facility under the umbrella of Tallahassee Memorial Hospital where I increased my education and knowledge of strength training. In 2005 I took a leap of faith and moved to Seattle Washington and trained at Gold's Gym Redmond, the largest Golds on the West Coast, which is now 425 Fitness. There I added more knowledge and experience and became a Group Fitness Instructor being certified by Les Mills as a Body Pump and CX Worx (now CORE) Instructor. As well as a BootCamp Instructor; TRX Group Fitness Instructor and certified nutritionist. For over a year 2012-2013 I trained at PRO Club Bellevue to become 20/20 Lifestyle certified and work in their 20/20 Lifestyle program, which is a medically based weight loss program, working intimately with doctors and psychiatrists.

Through these years I've worked with high school athletes, older population with morbidities, post rehab, weight loss and weekend warriors.

My passion is to chase client's goals, helping clients achieve their goals and set new ones. The most gratifying aspect of my career is to assist clients losing weight, lowering to normal high blood pressure, stopping diabetes II, lowering to normal high cholesterol and becoming stronger, fitter and healthier.
